1. Ensures the provision of skilled safe,holistic, and culturally competent, person-centered nursing andMidwifery care to patients, families, community and society, incollaboration with the multidisciplinary team irrespective ofhealthcare settings.
2.Provides guidance for andsupervision of personnel accountable to the Executive Director ofNursing and Midwifery.
3. Leads nursing andmidwifery and organizational policy formulation anddecision-making.
4. Advocates for nursing andmidwifery across HMC.
5. Leads and contributes toservice, business and budget planning.
6.Coordinates nursing and midwifery services with the services ofother health care disciplines in particular the hospitalsleadership team.
7. Ensures that all stakeholdersare engaged and advocates for nurses and midwives to be integral toall service improvements and clinical decisionmaking.
8. Assumes responsibility for staffingand scheduling personnel across the facility service. Assignmentsreflect appropriate utilization of personnel.
9.Fosters a climate conducive to education experiences for nurses,midwives and students.
10. Evaluates the qualityand appropriateness of care using validated and reliablemethodologies. 11. Accepts organizational accountability forservices provided to recipients.
12. Acceptsaccountability for own actions and decision-making and for therelated outcome.
